Komodo Dragon Reproduction

Mating begins between May and August. Eggs are laid in September. The female dragon will lay a clutch of 20-40 eggs and the incubation period is around 7 months. Hatchlings are about 15 inches long and weigh 3.5 ounces. Hatchlings eat insects and live in trees.
